eBay Pulse - See What Products Are Hot on eBay
It surprises me how many people don’t use some of the free tools available to work out what items are in demand on eBay.
Working out what product you should be selling on eBay is key to making the profit you want from selling on eBay.
eBay Pulse can give you some great clues on which products are hot, and in demand. There is a wealth of information in there! What can you find? Well, its a goldmine of information!
eBay Pulse is available for lots of eBay sites (just change the URL accordingly)
For eBay US, simply visit http://pulse.ebay.com., for Australia it is http://pulse.ebay.com.au.
eBay pulse basically shows you (by category)
- The most popular recent product searches
- The largest stores in the current category
- The most ‘watched’ items in the current category
Start at the home page, and then choose a category to refine your search. Notice all the information has changed to suit the category you are viewing?
You can drill down only to a certain category depth, but using eBay Pulse you can establish quite a lot about particular categories and markets such as
- Who the big sellers are (and clicking on them shows what they sell)
- What the most common search terms are (great for identifying what to sell, and how to sell it)
- What the most ‘watched’ or in demand items are (maybe you can source items like this?)
Helpful hints :
- Take a good look at all the top sellers. Look at how they sell, what they sell, how often they sell it and what their best items are. You may even identify that although the category looks pretty saturated, the big sellers all present poorly, and you could do a better job!
- Look at the most watched items closely. Are there may of them for sale? Why are they so popular? Maybe they are difficult to obtain at a good price and not many people offer them? Great! Then go and find a good supply!
Go get ‘em!
