Making Money Online
Making money online. What an audacious title! Lots of people do it though, you know that. Maybe you do too, or maybe you don’t?
In any case there are no shortages of websites telling you how to make $200,000 per month with little to no effort but if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.
There are however a number of individuals on the web with what I would call ‘hobby’ sites that are now generating some good income. I make a living from the internet and my online business and let me tell you, it is due to some hard work! It doesn’t (often) happen over night.
In looking for ways to make money online I had inevitably discovered blogging. In particular there have been a few blogs that caught my eye recently because:
a) they were interesting to read and have some great information about making money blogging and online and
b) at least 2 of them are in my region funnily enough.
My other businesses support me quite well financially at the moment but there will come a time when I may want to do different things, although I will most likely remain on the internet in some way. Blogging is certainly an outlet for me as I always enjoyed writing, and even wrote a few articles for one of my magazine sites (here for example)
The best way to make money online
Everyone claims they have the best way to make money online, but I like a business that doesn’t rely on you to survive and generate income. Whether that be a blog network that you can employ someone to manage, and links directory website that practically runs itself, or a lead generation/content site that populates itself or maybe a hybrid of all three?
Some businesses can translate well to the online world, like one of my eBay product lines but at the end of the day they are still labour intensive.
Ideally, you want to build an online business that requires you to only work a short amount of time to receive a large income. And ultimately, you want your business to support lifestyle, not the other way around.
I am writing this blog to assist others, and also to generate some income. I am starting from nothing, so it will be interesting to see how I go without all my other high PR sites linking in to it first.
