Someone let me download quality eBay templates!
Im busy working a eBay listing template for a new product line that we will start selling very shortly.
Starting a new product line is good fun. It is exciting for me, as I love the different aspects that goes with it, like
- Brand name and model names
- Logo design
- Trademarking
- Brand strategy
- Sourcing
- and the list goes one
But one of the last things on the list, and the part I don’t enjoy doing, is designing the eBay listing template.
There is a business opportunity here for someone… And that opportunity is for someone to have a download service for templates.
There are some great template download sites available, just do a search for ‘joomla templates‘, ‘oscommerce templates‘ or ‘website templates‘ and you will find lots of professional templates for around $50 to download and use.
websitetemplates.name is one I have used personally.
These templates will contain all the graphics and HTML requered to set up a nice looking site or store but none of them have an eBay listing template!
So I have to muck around and create one myself. Aaargh! I guess the good thing is, I am in control of it, and I know how I want to execute my brand strategy. And at least I only have to design it once. Then I can use it 1000 times or more to great effect, hopefully.
I am keen to get this new product range going though…. just have to climb this one last hurdle called ‘the template’…

This tool looks pretty simple, and will help a few smaller sellers. But I know there are 18,000 sellers in Australia alone earning an income from eBay.
All of them would benefit from professional designs.
Currently, if you have the skills or knowledge to get nice templates created, you have gone a long way toward generating buyer trust.
