How Much Is Your Blog Worth?
How much is your blog worth? As much as you think it is!
Well, that would be my answer anyway. Most people don’t blog for a living, or for the chance to sell it big one day to retire on the proceeds.
I wrote a short piece on the value of an online business here a little while ago. It is an interesting task. And one that is compounded by lots of variables.
But people like to compare! What is my blog ‘worth’? To me, not a lot at the moment. To an investor, nothing.
But it can be compared if we apply some rules. I saw a great little tool yesterday from Dane Carlson’s Business Opportunities Blog, titled ‘How much is your blog worth?‘.
I LOVE tools like the one below (just click on the ‘how much is your blog worth? link to visit the page and try it out). It used a simple algorithm to work out blog values.
Maybe you wouldn’t, but I immediately typed in some blog URLs that I know of, just to see what value they were!
